Fairprice BYOB Racks

Fairprice BYOB Racks

Info

Since July 2023, most medium to large sized NTUC Fairprice grocery stores have bag sharing racks for customers.

These are typically found after checkout. So those unaware of these racks will probably learn about only after taking a plastic bag! But now you know!

There does not appear to have been an official launch of these racks so far… they just started popping up after the pilot run by BYO Singapore and Zerowaste.sg ended at the end of April 2023.

Fairprice provides no info about these racks. The only online info about this initiative is this somewhat dated CNA report.

Location

See this map

We have mapped every location where a member of our community has reported spotting a rack.

Additionally, we wrote Fairprice and they supplied us with a list of locations (the list was not complete - our community found many not on the list).

As of August 2, 2023, we know of 19 racks at Fairprice stores.
