Don Don Donki Ice Pack Recycling

Don Don Donki Ice Pack Recycling

Info

Don Don Donki, the Japanese discount retail store chain, announced they are now taking back their own ice packs for reuse.

DDD thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the packs for reuse:

  1. At the end of each day, the closing shift cashier collects all the used ice packs and soaks them in a pail of water to remove any residue or debris.
  2. Then the following morning, the opening shift cashier will wipe the ice packs dry and sanitize them using a food-grade sanitizer solution.
  3. Finally, the sanitized ice packs are placed back in the freezer to re-freeze for continued use.
Location

DDD has allocated ice packs drop-off boxes in all their stores, near the cashier counter.

Locations on Google Maps. As of May 2023, DDD currently has 15 locations.

Accepted Items

They only take back their own ice packs (or the small blue ones exactly like them). Please ensure they are in clean and good condition before dropping them in.
