Uglyfood was founded in 2021 with the goal of reducing food waste and improving the food ecosystem. They focus on the fruits and vegetables industry, offering excess or ugly produce, their own branded products, and sustainably sourced goods.
Meaning some, but not all, products are being diverted from waste streams. Fruits and vegetables in particular are mostly excess stocks from various importers & supermarkets.
In addition to reducing food waste by making it available for purchase, Ugly Food takes donations of delivery and packing materials for reuse. See the list below.
Accepted Items
Ugly Food accepts the following from customers:
- ice packs,
- thermal bags,
- fruit sleeves,
- plastic containers,
- bubble wrap.
They don’t accept egg cartons.
Pass them to your driver.
