Repair
It usually doesn't make sense to try glue broken ceramics back together (it may be ugly, it may still leak) however the Japanese art of Kintsugi turns broken pottery into works of art. If your item is treasured, you can get Kintsugi repair kits online. Go for it!

Tips & Suggestions
If your crockery is chipped but not completely broken, you may want to consider giving it to The Fragment Room.
Items not suitable for reuse but still suitable for being smashed to pieces may find a final purpose as smash therapy. This is really the last place breakable things can go to die. There is no coming back from The Fragment Room.

Trash
Unfortunately, this material cannot be recycled. It is also very hard to incinerate so when you put it in the trash, gram for gram it is contributing more to filling up Semakau landfill than most other waste materials.
Do what you can to keep it out of the trash!
