Those living in HDB can contact their town council for bulky item removal service. ALBA E-Waste will then work with the town councils accordingly to collect and transport the E-Waste for recycling.
Those living in condos should contact their building management for advice.
Large household appliances are considered e-waste but as they are too large for the e-waste bin, special arrangements need to be made for their disposal.
Usually when you buy a new appliance, the delivery people will do a 1-for-1 take back, If that is not possible, then you may need to pay for the item to be collected.

Specialised Recycling
If your item is too large to fit into an e-waste bin but still small enough to be carried (eg some big screens may fit into this category) you could also bring them to an Alba e-waste collection drive (E-Drive).

You may also have luck offering the item for free on Carousell or similar app because Karung Gunis sometimes monitor those apps for items to collect and some people are interested in old appliances for parts.

Mandatory Take-back Scheme
As of July 1, 2021, retailers of regulated consumer products are required under the Resource Sustainability Act (RSA) to offer a free one-for-one take-back service for the disposal of products when they are delivered to customers. For example, when a customer purchases a new refrigerator from a retailer and has it delivered, the retailer must take the customer's old refrigerator for disposal.
