There are lots of instructions online about how to go about making your own replacement piece. The end result won't be perfect but with a bit of skill, it may look pretty close. Learn more here.

Recycle as Paper
Jigsaw puzzles are typically made of printed cardboard. They can be recycled like other paper products. See here for options.
Pro tip: the small pieces of paper get filtered out of the recycling system unless you seal them in a larger paper container like a sealed envelope.
